Small World Daycare has been located in both Apollo and Vandergrift for over 30 years with our mission being to care for and nurture each child as an individual, while making parents feel comfortable and confident in choosing us to be a part of their children’s lives. We provide tender loving care to make your child feel comfortable in the hands of our experienced caregivers.
Small World offers quality child care for all children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. We are open Monday through Friday from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm. We provide children with breakfast, lunch, and snacks. We offer a Preschool program for children ages 3-5 that is daily from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and if your child is scheduled to be at the daycare for a full day during this time, they receive FREE Preschool. We have been a winner of the Trib Total Media Readers’ Choice Award for 3 years in a row with the highest achievement of Gold in 2012 and 2014.
We believe that early childhood is a special time for imagination, wonder, and discovery. The first years of a child’s life are by far the most important! We feel that children learn best through play and hands on experiences in a developmentally appropriate environment. Our caring and educated staff work daily to provide a place where children know that they are accepted, loved, and protected while helping teach each child a strong sense of self-worth and purpose.
Our program focuses not only on our children and staff, but also each family member. Having open communication between staff and family members is very important to us as well as working together to provide the best care physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially for each child. Each child is unique in their own way and we encourage them to be that best that they can be!
